Section 138 of the Constitution of Urabba Parks sets out the position of Urabba Parks on access to services by and representation of diverse groups in the community.

Compiled text (Section 138 - Equity of access, opportunity and representation)

(1)    Every individual has the right to social inclusion, equity of access, opportunity and representation regardless of race, religion, age, national origin, language, sex, sexual orientation, or mental or physical handicap.

(2)    It is the responsibility of Urabba Parks and each entity to promote the social inclusion, equity of opportunity and representation in its governance, management and operations.

(3)    It is the responsibility of each entity:

(a)    to make services available to everyone who is entitled to them, free of any form of discrimination on the basis of any personal attribute falling in subsection (1);
(b)    to develop and deliver services on the basis of fair treatment of all those clients who are eligible to receive them;
(c)    to use all necessary strategies to inform eligible clients of the services available, their entitlements, and how they can obtain them;
(d)    to be sensitive to the needs and requirements of clients from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds, and be responsive as far as practicable to the particular circumstances of individuals;
(e)    be focused on meeting the needs of clients from all backgrounds.

(4)    Subsection (3) does not prohibit the limitation of charitable services to a significant part of the community having a personal attribute falling in subsection (1), provided such limitation is reasonably necessary for the achievement of the charitable purposes of the entity.

324. Subsection (1) provides that individuals have the right to social inclusion, equity of access, opportunity and representation regardless of race, religion, age, national origin, language, sex, sexual orientation, or mental or physical handicap.  Subsection (2) provides for the responsibility of Urabba Parks and each entity to promote the social inclusion, equity of opportunity and representation in its governance, management and operations.
